I thank my God every time I remember you.
In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your
partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of
this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until
the day of Christ Jesus."
~Philippians 1:3-6
We’re not just members of a church. At Rock Hill Community Church, we’re
partners.
part•ner•ship - noun
• the state of being a partner : Participation
• a) legal relation existing between two or more persons
contractually associated as joint principals in a business; b) the persons
joined together in a partnership
• a relationship resembling a legal partnership and usually
involving close cooperation between parties having specified and joint rights
and responsibilities
Our elders and deacons pledge to teach, equip, serve, pray for, provide
counsel, guide and empower Rock Hill’s partners to carry out our God-mandated
mission, helping us to become fully mature followers of Jesus Christ.
Covenant partners are Rock Hill’s primary missionaries into culture. We’re
called as ambassadors of Christ to live lives that represent Him to the people
that God has placed into our lives. Our interaction with our coworkers,
classmates, family and community serve as a reflection of our church and our
witness.
The process for becoming a partner is this:
- First, take the partnership class (a 6 hour class, broken up into two sessions).
- Next, fill out the membership application and submit it online to the elders.
- You will then be contacted by Kyle to set up a meeting with the elders.
- Download the Membership Covenant, sign it, and bring it to your meeting.
The next Membership classes will take place on Wednesday, Oct 6th, 2010 and Oct 13th, 2010 from 6 to 9pm.
