Bridge Groups

What is a Bridge Group?

A Bridge Group is a place where people both inside and outside our church can enjoy common interests and hobbies. Regardless of your religious background, we all find joy in unique ways, so whether it's mountain biking or knitting or reading old books, we want to make it easy to find people who love the same things.

Once you’ve chosen a group (or a few to visit), go to the group’s page and click “Request to join.” The leaders will be in touch with when and where the group is meeting next.

If you still need assistance finding a Bridge Group, fill out the form at the bottom of this page. We’d be delighted to help!

No idea! That is to say, each group has their own schedule (some meet seasonally, some meet all year, and so on). Groups also use their own methods of communicating (e.g. GroupMe, Slack, etc.), so each Bridge Group leader can tell you how to get plugged in.

Definitely. Bridge Groups are meant to be about friendship around shared interests, and while there will be some Christians there from our church, you'll be welcome no matter your background.

We believe that City Groups are the best way for followers of Jesus to learn, grow, mature, and care for each other in the context of gospel-centered community. Bridge Groups serve a slightly different function: they are meant to help people explore new relationships and find common interests.

City Groups generally meet during the school year, and Bridge Groups are generally more seasonal (e.g. a ski group only meets in the winter). We hope that City Groups will be your primary community, but Bridge Groups are bonus opportunities to form relationships.

In culinary terms, we want City Groups to be your typical meal with Bridge Groups as the dessert!

Absolutely! If you want to gather some folks around an interest or activity, we're happy to feature your group here. We just ask two things from our Bridge Group leaders:

1. We want you to be a member of our church.

2. We want your Bridge Group to invite and welcome people both inside and outside of our church.

If you're interested in starting a Bridge Group, email Pastor Jason (jason@rockhillcc.org) and he'll meet with you to help set your group up.
