City Group Leader Resources

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

Colossians 3:12–14

The Mission of City Groups

Our goal is to lead City Groups as small communities that live out our core identities together in rhythms of family gatherings, neighborhood mission, and intentional growth.

City Group Initiatives for 2024-25

This school year, we are emphasizing mercy/service (blessing the city and especially the least of these) and formation (calling apprentices of Jesus to a different way of life). In the fall, we are asking City Groups to choose one mission in the city and serve together at least three times. In the winter/spring, we are asking every City Group to take the 8-week Practicing the Way spiritual formation course together.

The video below goes into the why, the what, and some of the how. I'll be talking with all of you about how to implement serving and the course in your specific group, so let's chat and keep the conversation going!

Sermon Discussion Questions

If your group is following the sermon series, I've written some discussion questions to get you started. You're welcome to use them, adapt them, or come up with your own!
