The Bible describes a disciple as an apprentice, someone who is learning how to live for and like Jesus. Rock Hill Institute is a space for this kind of learning, a holistic approach to discipleship that gives men and women the opportunity to grow in their love for God and his mission.
The God of the Bible has made himself known through a beautiful and complex story. We want to teach you how to study the Scriptures and see the unified narrative of redemption.
Theology is rooted in the Scriptures, and it is relevant for daily life. We want to teach the historic doctrines of our faith so that we can both think rightly and live righteously.
Story and Belief both shape and form us into people who live according to the way of Jesus. We want to teach the practical ways that we can become disciples of Jesus.
This year, our classes will explore how God speaks to us through the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the authoritative revelation of God’s will and the foundation for everything we know and do. May these classes teach you to believe, obey, and trust in the Word of God!
How does my story connect to the story of the Bible?
The Bible is the grand, rich narrative of God’s plan to save the world, and the goal of this class is to see how the overarching story line of the Bible should impact our own daily lives.

How can we recognize truth and heresy today?
Church history is filled with pivotal moments of disagreement about how to interpret the Bible, and this class will look at these major turning points in Christian history so that we can believe truth and recognize falsehood.

How can we enjoy reading the Bible?
This class will explore the literary aspects of the Bible, focusing on its genres, language, imagery, and symbolism. Our goal is to learn how to appreciate the Bible’s beauty and read it with joy.

If you or your City Group want to learn about the Bible through self-guided videos and discussions, these are some of our favorite studies.
Through 19 beautiful, animated videos, this series of videos explores the different literary styles found in the Bible and teaches how each uniquely contributes to the overall story of Scripture. The goal is to better understand what the Bible actually is by understanding how it was written.
How do we read Scripture in the age of scrolling and skimming? The library we call “the Bible” can connect us to God and change who we are, but distraction, hurry, and confusion can hinder our experience with these ancient texts. Rediscover how to engage Scripture as an apprentice to Jesus.
Does the Bible feel too intimidating and complex? In this six-week study, we want to help you understand why the Bible is the greatest tool we have. We want to open your eyes to the way the Old Testament and New Testament connect and show you the purpose of each book of the Bible.

We offer a variety of places to learn, from longer classes to one-time seminars to weekend conferences to weekly Bible studies. We try to choose learning formats that best fit the topic and rhythms of our church.
We believe that City Groups are one of the most important ways that members of our church can find community, care for one another, and live on mission. If you’re looking to grow as a Christian at Rock Hill, we recommend that you start by joining a City Group.
Learning is best done in community, so City Groups often pause their regular rhythms to take a class together.
We believe in the power and growth that comes from learning in person and in community, so most of our classes are not streamed online. However, we record most classes and seminars and will eventually post them to the archive below and on our YouTube channel.
Classes are multi-week, in-depth learning opportunities on broad topics for all Christians.
Seminars are single events that offer a chance to learn about special interest topics.
Studies are personal tools for you to learn about the Bible or a topic on your own.
